Our three HIAB vehicles give R & L Miller the flexibility to handle a wide range of lifting and transport requirements, with our newest Scania R660 V8 sitting at the head of the fleet.
Introducing our Scania R660 V8
Our newest HIAB vehicle joined the fleet to mark 40 years of R & L Miller and represents a major step forward in our lifting and transport capability.
At its heart is a 90tm FASSI F905 crane with a reach of up to 28 metres and V20 winch, combined with the power of the Scania R660 V8 and a specialist front-leg stabilisation system.
The truck was designed and built with Mac's Truck Sales , who described it as one of the best trucks they have produced in more than 50 years in the industry. The build combines serious working capability with bespoke detailing throughout, including custom bodywork, integrated storage, Alcoa Dura-Bright wheels, stainless side bars and custom LED lighting.

The Scania R5 560 forms part of the R & L Miller specialist transport fleet, combining strong on-road performance with HIAB lifting capability for the movement of plant, machinery, equipment and other demanding loads.
Scania R560 HIAB crane and plant transport
The Scania R5 560 is a highly capable addition to the R & L Miller transport fleet, providing the flexibility to lift, load and transport machinery, plant and equipment using one specialist vehicle.
Its combination of HIAB crane capability, hydraulic stabilisers and plant-carrying capacity makes it well suited to construction sites, agricultural work, machinery movements and jobs where controlled lifting and transport are both required.
The Scania R560 allows machinery and equipment to be collected, lifted, transported and positioned efficiently, making it ideal for specialist movements where both crane capability and dependable transport are essential.

How many HIAB vehicles do you operate?
R & L Miller operates three HIAB vehicles, allowing us to match different lifting and transport requirements with the most suitable vehicle.
What types of loads can you transport?
We can transport a wide range of loads including plant machinery, containers, construction materials, agricultural equipment, industrial equipment and awkward or oversized items.
What areas do you cover?
We primarily operate across Ayrshire and Scotland, with transport throughout the Central Belt, Highlands, Lowlands and other areas depending on the job.
UK-wide movements may also be available for larger or specialist transport requirements.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly where a specific vehicle, lifting capability or delivery date is required.
